Fast Server’s Fast Forward program is thrilled to donate two thousand dollars towards a website for College Dreams. College Dreams is a graduation incentive program for middle school and high school students who have strong academic potential and multiple life challenges. Dreamers earn awards, trips, and scholarship funds by attending school regularly, obtaining good grades, participating in healthy youth programs, and volunteering for community service activities. Prevention Specialists provide school and community-based mentoring, counseling, academic support, skill-building, outings, and college preparation for Dreamers. Anyone can nominate a Josephine County middle school student for College Dreams.
The basic goals of College Dreams is to reduce school dropout, delinquency, and substance abuse among youth. Our high level goals are to promote academic excellence, college preparation, and post-secondary education or vocational training.
The Fast Forward program is pleased to announce the new “Donation” button for those that would like to donate to this excellent program for the youth in our area.
Pacifica benefits from ‘FAST FORWARD’ Donation program.
Fast Server LLC, with its new Fast Forward program, has helped another non-profit community member this week. Through a mutual association with Fast Server LLC, Options for Southern Oregon, Inc, Eames and Associates, and Copeland Paving, Fast Forward has donated six desktop computers, an e-commerce grade server and power unit to Pacifica Botanical Gardens to help them start their new network. Community businesses were happy to donate the equipment to Pacifica, who is a non-profit botanic garden, nature center, community center, and educational facility nestled on 500 acres of preserved land. Pacifica will be using these computers to help advance art and awareness of indigenous plant life in Southern Oregon.
Pacifica will use the new equipment to create their own network, bringing them “into the 21st century” by creating a highly efficient environment for program development and helping them facilitate a new, interactive website. Current programs include the Caterpillar Learning Center targeted at elementary schools, public outreach programs, and recreational programs like their public hiking trails.
“Fast Server LLC, who is well established in Grants Pass and rapidly expanding into Medford, is excited to be able to offer these opportunities for non-profits in an effort to grow our charity based communities. We are always on the lookout for more opportunities to provide chances that might otherwise be out of reach for most non-profits.” - Ron Dowell, Fast Server LLC General Manager
